Terms of Use

Ownership – Subject Matter – Acceptance of Terms

The online platform e-services.ekkomed.gr (hereinafter the “Platform”) is owned and operated by the National Centre of Audiovisual Media and Communication (E.K.K.O.ME.D. S.A.) (hereinafter “EKKOMED”).

The Platform provides digital services for:

  • creation/management of user accounts,

  • electronic submission of funding applications (and any amendments/supplements thereto),

  • uploading/attaching supporting documents,

  • monitoring the progress of applications, notifications and related communication within the framework of evaluation/audit procedures.

The user/visitor must carefully read these Terms of Use and may use the Platform only if they fully accept them. Browsing, registration and/or submission of an application constitutes unconditional acceptance of the Terms.

These Terms apply to all content and services of the Platform. The user must always act in accordance with the law, established commercial practices and good faith, as well as with any specific instructions displayed within the Platform.

Special programme/call terms: Each funding application is additionally governed by the specific terms/rules of the respective call and/or the regulatory framework of the programme. In case of inconsistency, the specific programme/call terms shall prevail.

 

Account – Identification – User Information

A user account is required for the submission of applications. During registration/use, the user agrees to provide true, complete and up-to-date information (indicatively: full name/company name, contact details, e-mail address).

Access to the Platform may be granted through credentials defined by the user and/or via third-party identity providers (e.g., third-party login services). The user bears sole responsibility for:

  • safeguarding access credentials,

  • all actions carried out through their account.

EKKOMED may request additional documentation/identification or proof of legal authority (e.g., representation of a legal entity), in accordance with the requirements of each programme/audit.

 

Submission of Funding Applications – User Declarations – Supporting Documents

Funding applications are submitted exclusively through the Platform, following the steps and fields specified for the relevant call.

Before final submission, the user must review the application, summary/description and the required supporting documents displayed on the Platform for the specific programme.

Upon final submission, the user declares and warrants that:

  • the information entered is accurate and true,

  • the attached files/supporting documents are authentic, complete and appropriate,

  • they have the lawful authorization/competence to submit the application (when acting on behalf of a third party or legal entity),

  • no third-party rights are infringed (including intellectual property and personal data rights).

The user acknowledges that incorrect/incomplete submission, late submission or submission of inaccurate information may result in rejection, revocation or other consequences provided for in the specific programme terms and applicable legislation.

The Platform maintains an electronic audit trail and time-stamping, to the extent required for the operation, security and documentation of procedures.

 

Intellectual Property – Platform Content – Application Content

All content of the Platform (including indicatively: texts, graphics, software, structure, design, trademarks) constitutes intellectual/industrial property of EKKOMED and/or third parties who have lawfully granted usage rights and is protected under applicable law.

Reproduction, copying, republication, distribution, modification or exploitation of the Platform’s content without prior written permission is prohibited, except where expressly permitted by law.

Content submitted by the user in the context of an application (including indicatively: scripts, treatments, financial data, CVs, visual material) remains under the ownership/responsibility of the user or its rightful owners. The user grants EKKOMED the necessary right to use/process/store such content exclusively for:

  • evaluation/examination of the application,

  • administrative/financial audit,

  • record-keeping and compliance with legal obligations,

  • potential audits by competent authorities/bodies, where required.

Where specific programme terms provide for additional usage rights (e.g., for cultural/educational, non-commercial purposes), these apply exactly as defined in the respective call/regulation.

 

User Obligations – Prohibited Use

The user must:

  • use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms and the specific programme terms,

  • refrain from any action that may endanger the security, integrity or availability of the Platform (including indicatively: malware, unauthorized access, interference, attacks),

  • not submit unlawful, defamatory, offensive content or content that infringes third-party rights,

  • not attempt to bypass technical restrictions, access controls or security mechanisms.

 
Links to Third-Party Websites

The Platform and/or the EKKOMED website may contain links to third-party websites solely for convenience/information purposes.

Third-party websites are governed by their own terms of use and policies. EKKOMED bears no responsibility for their content, accuracy or data protection practices.

 

Disclaimer – Limitation of Liability

The user uses the Platform at their own initiative and responsibility. EKKOMED makes reasonable efforts to ensure proper operation and security, without guaranteeing uninterrupted or error-free operation.

EKKOMED shall not be liable for delays/interruptions due to force majeure, technical failures of networks/providers, or unauthorized acts of third parties, insofar as no intent or gross negligence on the part of EKKOMED exists.

EKKOMED shall not be liable for direct or indirect damages arising from the use or inability to use the Platform, especially where such damages result from factors beyond its reasonable control.

 

Security

EKKOMED implements appropriate organizational and technical security measures to protect its data and systems, aiming to prevent unauthorized access, alteration, loss or destruction of data, taking into account the nature of the data and associated risks.

 

Personal Data Protection

The collection and processing of personal data through the Platform is carried out in accordance with the applicable data protection legal framework.

For detailed information, users are requested to consult EKKOMED’s Data Protection Policy and Cookie Policy (as posted on its official websites).

 

Amendment of Terms – Suspension of Operation

EKKOMED may modify these Terms at any time. Amendments take effect upon their publication on the Platform.

EKKOMED reserves the right to suspend or terminate the operation of the Platform or individual functions thereof, particularly for reasons of security, maintenance or compliance with the institutional/legal framework.

 

Governing Law – Jurisdiction – Contact

These Terms are governed by Greek law and applicable EU law.

Any dispute shall fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of Athens, unless otherwise provided by mandatory law.
