Data Controller

The Data Controller of personal data collected through the e-services.ekkomed.gr platform (hereinafter the “Platform”) is National Centre of Audiovisual Media and Communication (E.K.K.O.M.E.D. S.A.) (hereinafter “EKKOMED”).

The Platform is used for the creation of user accounts and for the electronic submission, management, and monitoring of funding applications within the framework of funding schemes and programs administered by EKKOMED.

 

Categories of Data Collected

Depending on the use of the Platform and the specific funding program, the following categories of personal data may be collected:

a) Account Data

  • Full name

  • Email address

  • Contact telephone number

  • Representation details (where acting on behalf of a legal entity)

b) Funding Application Data

  • Project/proposal details

  • Financial information

  • Project team information

  • Supporting documentation and uploaded files

  • Declarations and statutory statements required by the relevant funding scheme

c) Technical Data

  • IP address

  • Date and time of access

  • Activity logs (audit logs)

  • Device/browser information, where required for security purposes

No personal data are collected beyond what is necessary for the proper operation of the Platform and the evaluation of funding applications.

 

Purpose of Processing

Personal data are processed for the following purposes:

  • Creation and management of user accounts

  • Submission, evaluation, and administration of funding applications

  • Communication with applicants

  • Administrative, financial, and compliance audits

  • Record keeping and fulfillment of legal obligations

  • Ensuring the security and integrity of information systems

 

Legal Basis for Processing

Processing is based on:

  • The exercise of EKKOMED’s statutory duties and public interest mandate

  • Compliance with legal obligations

  • The performance of procedures related to funding applications

  • The data subject’s consent, where required

 

Recipients of Data

Access to personal data is limited to:

  • Authorized personnel of EKKOMED

  • Third-party service providers acting as data processors and providing technical or operational support to the Platform

  • Competent public authorities, where required by law

EKKOMED does not sell, lease, or commercially exploit personal data.

 

International Transfers

Personal data are not transferred outside the European Union unless required by law or where appropriate safeguards are ensured in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.

 

Data Retention

Personal data are retained:

  • For as long as necessary to complete the evaluation and administrative control procedures

  • For the period required under applicable legal and regulatory obligations

  • For a reasonable additional period in backup systems for security and business continuity purposes

Upon expiry of the retention period, data are securely deleted or anonymized.

 

Data Security

EKKOMED implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, including:

  • Role-based access control

  • Activity logging and monitoring

  • Secure backup procedures

  • Protection against malicious software

  • Internal information security policies and staff training

However, no method of transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

 

Data Subject Rights

Subject to the conditions set by applicable data protection legislation, data subjects have the right to:

  • Access their personal data

  • Rectify inaccurate data

  • Request erasure (where applicable)

  • Restrict processing

  • Object to processing

  • Data portability (where applicable)

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The current version will always be available on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of any amendments.

Any dispute shall fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of Athens, unless otherwise provided by mandatory law.
